Building a Statewide Stand Up Nebraska Campaign
Outreach efforts asking Nebraskans to stand up for democracy by publicly endorsing the Defend Our Democracy open letter proved to be very success in both the Scottsbluff and the Lincoln areas. Many Nebraskans were eager to publicly endorsing the open letter calling for a defense of democracy. They were also to willing to write the check to provide the funding to purchase the newspaper ads displaying their names.
Based on those shared grassroots organizing experiences, pro-democracy activist in Scottsbluff and Lincoln have decided to join together to explore the possibilities of a statewide campaign of local pro-democracy activists. We are now in the process of contacting activists groups across Nebraska to explore the possibility of forming a statewide campaign with at least some level of shared strategic objectives. That process takes time and is now on-going, but in the meantime below are some links that provide some perspective on what might be possible.
